USAble Life Voluntary Short Term Disability Changes

USAble Life has revised portions of their Voluntary Short Term Disability plans, formerly referred to as Voluntary Income Protection (VIP), to reflect market trends. The below listed changes took effect with August 1, 2010, effective dates.

• All new groups and new hires applying within their eligibility period will qualify for guarantee issue, if the group meets the new participation requirements.
• Pre-Existing Condition Limitations will apply to new or increased coverage.
• New group participation requirements will be 15% or 5 lives, whichever is greater.
• Current participation requirements will apply to existing groups with VSTD.
